First you must incorporate the new menus and file sections. Remove your film, GIF and Music section and add the following new sections if you do not already have them in place:
1). Fonts (FontDL)
2). Adobe Screen fonts (AdobeDL)
3). Fido echoes archives (EchoDL)
4). System 7 tools (System7DL)
5). AllDL.alpha (optional)
Either make up your own menus or use the AMUG or Pete Johnson menus for Fontmenu, Adobemenu, Echomenu, GIFmenu and System7 menu to link to your master file menu. These menus will link with FontDL, AdobeDL, EchoDL, GIFDL, and System7DL on the AMUG CD:CD Setup:Dir: folder.. Next, you will simply alter your master DL menu to accompany these new download menus.
You can use the Change Name utility to repath your sections. This file is located in AMUG CD:Goodies:Utilities. Thanks to Kirk Crawford of Hermosa Beach for this nifty conversion tool.
After you have completed the above your update is finished. You should also know that your CD-ROM will function fine if you just load it in, replacing the old one. None of the old paths have changed for their respective area names. If you want the new CD-ROM running right away and you do not have time to make the addition of the new areas, just take the Volume I, II or III out and put Volume IV in. Make the changes later when you have time.
Support the Authors!
If you have additional features you would like to see added to “BBS in a BOX”, please feel free to write or call us. We are interested in making the world of public domain and shareware easily understandable to the Macintosh public. Only by supporting these authors and sending in our shareware fees will this type of software distribution continue. No fee is charged for any of the download files provided on this disk. AMUG and MacWizards spend thousands of hours creating the BBS interface on this CD-ROM. Any charge for this CD-ROM is solely to support the BBS interface. Please be sure and pay for any shareware that you use. When we are dishonest with the author he becomes soured on the shareware market and either stops publishing or sells his products commercially . Thanks again for supporting shareware and Public Domain authors!
